Lovie, what the hell took you so long?

Lovie has finally hit the eject button on #8, and a lot of people are wondering what the hell took him so long? Is there a chance that Lovie has been receiving increased pressure from his defensive coaches and players? I mean how long can you ask a defense to carry a team, a championship caliber team at that, and has Lovie set a really bad precedent by giving Rex the amount of leeway he received? It seems kind of silly to say that a coach or an organization can be too loyal, but now you have to wonder what will happen if Brian Griese struggles in his first couple of games, will he expect the same amount of time and patience that Rex received, or will Lovie now feel pressure to make a quick decision on whether Kyle Orton sees action or not? I have been thinking about the whole thing and maybe this is what Lovie was thinking in the back of his mind. The alternative is to switch to the same Brian Griese that couldn't get it done in Denver, even though he had one of the leagues best rushing offenses, better than average receivers and a better than average offensive line. The same Brian Griese that couldn't get it done in Miami with a top 10 running back (Ricky Williams, before the weed took hold), 2 solid receivers, a very good tight end, a decent offensive line and a top 10 defense. The same Brian Griese that couldn't beat out Chris Simms for a job in Tampa. So although I think Lovie waited way too long to pull the plug on Rex, I can understand that maybe it wasn't as clear cut a decision as it seemed. What are your thoughts?

I heard, Lovie finally got hold of some pictures Rex had of Lovie at Mike Vicks house in VA...evidence in hand Lovie sat his a** down faster than a pit bull with no hind legs, but you ain't heard that from me.

That being said maybe Lovie would be interested in a certain starting QB in ATL for a draft pick and a defensive lineman.

The Bears are who we thought they were! LOL!!! Look this team let their best running back goto the Jets and now they have up to five defensive players out this week. It's hard to get back to where they were a season ago. I think the packers will contend for the nfc north this year. Tough road so we'll see what happens...

J rich, what if the Bears wanted Byron Leftwich for that pick and d lineman? Would you trust your beloved Falcons in the hands of J Harrington and Chris Redman? Or, have you already thought about getting a qb in the draft, Louiville, USC, Kentucky and Boston college have a couple of good ones coming out next year.
